Sweetie Pie

This was Sweetie Pie. He wandered on my property a few years ago, hardly able to lift his head. He somehow got in, but couldnt get out. I have many acres of fenced land, so he must have been wandering around awhile. Anyway, we searched for an owner but never did find one. So we adopted ol' Sweetie Pie. He was a welcome addition to the family. He was my complete shadow.
Every day, my endless chores would always be in the company of Sweetie. He never left my side. He passed away this week, and will be sorely missed.

So this time I am at a loss for words. So I am attaching pictures that make me smile. I hope they do the same for you !

I'm so sorry...he looks like he was a big ol' teddy bear of a dog. What a face! It hurts so much to lose a pet, they become a part of the family and leave an emptiness that only time can heal. He sure was lucky the day he found his way into your heart.

Gina, sorry for the loss of your sweetie pie. As Trash said they do become your family and at times they're like another kid. I still miss my Sally girl. Hugs being sent to you, Theresa

Just discovered your totally awesome decor items at a local store in St. Louis - The White Rabbit. Love your blog!

Look at me, I'm all teary eyed. I so love my gang of animals and understand your empty space.

Something tells me he was a very lucky dog and that you were lucky to have him to love. Cheri

Oh Gina....my heart aches for you. It's the only difficulty that our beloved pets bring to us....the fact that they are temporary. But only in physical presence, their memory lives in our hearts forever. Just remember that he'll be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. That thought always gives me comfort when I miss my babies...

Big Texas hugs....LA

Godspeed Sweetie Pie. The loss of a friend is always bittersweet. It was his lucky day when he found you and it was your lucky day when you got a couple of years of unquestioned love from a good old boy.
