The Toads Toes...........

AHHHhhhhhhhh Finally Summer has arrived...... I absolutely ADORE the hot days, and short nights. Crickets, frogs bring em on........ It is a symphony outside my windows. It would keep alot of folks up at night, but to me its a soothing lull you to sleep kinda noise.

Well , We have been so busy here at Peacock Park getting ready for the summer time. I have to say, I am SOOOOOOOOO blessed with thee most amazing friends. We are so excited and thankful that there is a National magazine (one of my favorite in the world) coming out to do an article on us, the products and where the inspiration comes from. Well........I have to say, after the long, long winter, my grounds "Peacock Park" are in need of major spring clean up. I have to say that my friends have come to my rescue BIG TIME. Especially Kelly ie: Kel Bel. Kelly is my right arm. If anyone can do display the way I like it, it is her. She is an amazing talent, and Peacock Park Design wouldnt be what it is without her. Kelly is an avid Gardner with an unbelievable garden of flowers......I mean UNBELIEVABLE. You can see her yard from down the street. The flowers are so vibrant. She gets it from her mother, one of my dearest friends on the planet....Lucy. I pronounce it L-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-cy. Kelly and Lucy have brought me mounds of perenials and plants and helped with the initial cleanup that we are in desperate need of to get "camera ready" next week. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

As you can see in the early photos, the "toad" garden was a literal field of sod. Well, Kelly worked her magic and it is now back to its majestic splendor.....thanks to her.

As kelly stripped back the weeds, and ripped out the grass she said....."Ya know, all this time I never realized that the Toad has Toes.............and with rings no less...........who knew?"

This place is a zoo.........

Today I spent Mothers day at the Detroit Zoo. It was a chilly day, but beautiful because of the flowering trees, and gardens just starting to bloom. It is so nice just to see the fountains full of "running" water instead of frozen motionless ice that seems to hang around here forever. This winter has been extremely long, and it seems like the people are itchy to just get outside and enjoy some fresh air.

Two more monkeys !!!!!!!

This mother definately has a monkey on her sweeeeeeet !!!

I had to take a picture of this hair-do......or should I say Hair-did.?? At least it looks good with the flowers...Maybe she will dye it rust in the fall?

The Orient Express...............

Well as you can see by my fortune it was going to be a lucky trip....

I am home from a whirlwind trip to the orient. I checked on the progess of some of Peacock Parks works in progress as well as new designs in the making.

I have to say that some of the friendliest people I know are from the other side of the planet. I have truly grown to love them, the people NOT the food. Hunger is a constant feeling while I am there. I always pack 12 packs of Diet Coke, peanut butter, crackers and tons of candy. They have wonderful choclates that look great but dont seem to have much flavour. Remeniscent of Englands pastries...quite bland.

These are sweet little pastries that are too cute to eat!!!

These are new additions to the Peacock Park Line..... French garden tools with enamel tags......

Matching watering wonderful is this?? My personal fave...Look for these in the coming months...hopefully for next market.... this is just a sample of the garden goodies......

Mcdonalds delivers

These are artificial trees....Yes, I said artificial...can you believe it?? 30 feet tall. I want them but they wont fit into our showrooms (smile).

Are these the coolest sandles, er...or boots?? what the heck are they...bootles???? Well whatever you call them I call them MINE....Yep, I had to have em.....I think they look cool just sitting on the floor....You know me and graphics. I love em!

This was a magnificent display . Take a close look. This could be duplicated on a smaller scale in any shop or home. It is branches and trees painted white and literally dripping with crystals...

The most artistic lighting fixture I have seen. A wonderful blend of old and new...just dripping with crystal, draped in wire, wow, wow.
